The ever increasing costs of energy and concerns for the environment will continue to have a direct influence on the development of HVAC technology. More environmentally friendly refrigerants have been taken into use. The needs to reduce installation time and increase perfomance remain clear targets for the industry.

tub-e® FRIGO –Single and Twin have been developed with leading European insulation specialist to fulfil these needs. Our joint expertise has been used to bring some unique properties which enhance use of this range throughout the supply chain All three components are extruded –from the tub-e® refrigeration quality copper tube, the closed cell CFC and HCFC free PE foam, to the pure white, high definition PE skin. This means there are no seams or points of weakness. In addition, some of the highest UV resistance levels (Sirris test certifcate n° GT8-1565) mean that longer-lasting performance and high energy efficiency prevail.
Attention has been paid to ensure that these advantages are maintained –Each coil is bound by paper tapes which can be easily removed by hand to avoid any damage, plastic end caps are provided to help reduce risks of condensation, and a special adhesive is used to join the tub-e® FRIGO Twin to avoid destroying the vital protective PE layer during installation.

tub-e® FRIGO is suitable for use with a wide range of modern refrigerants:

  • chlorine free HFC (e.g. R134a, R404A, R507A, R407C, R410A)
  • Carbon dioxide CO2
Material
tub-e® FRIGO copper tube is manufactured from Cu-DHP copper, and complies fully with the standard EN
12735-1.

Chemical properties
Cu+Ag > 99,90 %
0,015 % < P < 0,040 %

Insulation is made of foamed polyethylene and covered with a PE structured sheet. It is CFC free and contains no PVC. Insulation material is fire retardant and withstands high temperature variations and UV radiation.

Installation methods
tub-e® FRIGO is adapted to all current copper tube installation methods and connection techniques. When using a soldered joint, around 15cm of the insulation material needs to be peeled back and temporarily secured.

When the soldering has cooled the insulation material can be unfastened and used to cover the copper tube.
Please pay attention to avoid any damage to the tube.
